The ACD DSP Sound Studio
Platinum Edition makes use of Compact Disc Digital Audio technology for
playing CD's. It is intended for the sophisticated user and incorporates an
advanced DSP (Digital Sound Processor) Module which consist of 7
subsections: Preamplification, Pitch Shifter, Delay, Phase Shifter, External
Plugins, Graphic Equalizer, Master control and DSP Control. This system
requires a high performance processor (Pentium II or III class, Celeron, AMD
K6). The system has the capability to accept WinAmp 1.x plugin

measuring Digital Audio Extraction (DAE). DAE is the method used to gather

CD/DVD can read digital audio, the more reliable the program which makes use
of DAE, will be. The program measures the speed of the DAE and the CPU usage
during this operation. Many low end to middle performance computers are
affected by DAE that it is almost impossible to perform other tasks on the
